The topic of the war in Ukraine was not discussed at the summit of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held in Turkmenistan, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, the topic of the special operation in Ukraine was not raised by the participants of the CIS summit.
The Kremlin spokesman also commented on reports about a possible visit to Moscow at the end of October by US President’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
He noted that Moscow does not know whether the visit will take place: “Putin is always glad to see Witkoff and Kushner. If they decide to share the results of their contacts with Ukrainian representatives in the US, they will be glad to see them in Moscow.”
