The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has transferred a total of 173,622.9 million manats to the state budget as of March 31, 2025, APA-Economics reports, citing the Oil Fund.
According to the Oil Fund, 3,210 million manats were transferred to the state budget within the execution of SOFAZ’s 2026 budget in January–March this year.
It should be added that SOFAZ assets amounted to 73,541.5 million US dollars (125,020.5 million manats) at the beginning of 2026, and 73,515.9 million US dollars (124,976.9 million manats) as of March 31, 2026.
Recall that SOFAZ was established on December 29, 1999. The fund is a special institution that ensures the accumulation, efficient management, and preservation of revenues obtained from oil and gas for future generations. SOFAZ is an extra-budgetary, separate state institution. Transparency is one of the main principles of SOFAZ’s activity. During this period, SOFAZ has developed institutionally at a high level and has become an internationally recognized financial organization.
