The oil terminal of SOCAR located in Kulevi has managed to double its throughput capacity, said Ismayil Karimov, General Director of the Black Sea Terminal (SOCAR’s terminal located on the Black Sea coast), during his speech at the II Caspian and Central Asia Oil Trade and Logistics Forum organized by GLENMAR Group, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, this indicator became possible after switching to a 24/7 operating mode.
“Until the end of last year, the terminal had no capacity during night navigation, and with close coordination with the local maritime transport agency, it was not possible to obtain 24/7 navigation capability. We were able to fulfill all the requirements to start night navigation. Before that, the port was only allowed to load or unload ships during the daytime,” Ismayil Karimov noted.
