In January–March of this year, 11,125.1 million cubic meters of gas were transported through Azerbaijan’s main gas pipelines, marking a 3.3% increase compared to the previous year, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
50.8% of the gas transportation was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus Pipeline.
Gas produced from the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field is exported through this pipeline.
During the reporting period, 5,653.4 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline, reflecting a 3.8% increase.
Recall that last year, 40,235.6 million cubic meters of gas were transported through Azerbaijan’s main gas pipelines, which represented a 0.3% decrease compared to the previous year. 57.5% of the gas transportation was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus Pipeline. During the reporting period, 23,143.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline, showing a 1.3% increase.
