The price of gas in Europe reached a record high level of $2,300 per 1,000 cubic meters on Friday breaking the all-time high for the third time in a week, according to data from the London ICE exchange, APA reports citing TASS.
The April futures price at the TTF hub in the Netherlands rose to $2,303 per 1,000 cubic meters by the end of the day. or 204.145 euros per MWh.
In general, the cost of gas for the day increased by almost 27%. The overall growth for the week is 119%.
Earlier today, the price of gas in Europe exceeded its all-time high, having risen to $2,391.6 per 1,000 cubic meters, or 212 euros per MWh.
