The administration of US President Donald Trump is threatening to halt the program to purchase weapons and provide intelligence information to Ukraine, APA reports citing Financial Times (FT).
According to the newspaper's sources, American officials made several calls to European capitals and Kyiv on this issue on October 10 and 11. The newspaper's sources said Washington, among other things, allegedly threatened to halt intelligence sharing and the PURL program, a program for purchasing weapons for Ukraine from the United States using European funds. "They're calling Kyiv, they're calling everywhere [in Europe]," an unnamed official who received a similar call from a US defense official told the newspaper. The Financial Times names Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of Volodymyr Zelenskyy's office, among those Washington contacted on this issue.
