Export of Shahdeniz gas increased

In January-July of the current year, 23,869 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, and a decrease of 0,5% was observed compared to the indicator of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

According to the information, 56,2% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.

Gas produced in the Shahdeniz gas-condensate field is being exported through this pipeline.

Thus, during the reporting period, 13,423,3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 5,4%).

Recall that last year, 39,806.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, and a 1,4% increase was observed compared to the indicator of the previous year.
