EIA increases its forecast for global oil demand

U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the Department of Energy has released its forecast for the daily global demand for liquid hydrocarbons for 2024-2025, APA-Economics reports citing monthly report of EIA.

According to the report, this year, global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons will average 103.08 million barrels, which is 0.14 million barrels more than the previous forecast.

At the same time, the EIA forecasts the global daily oil demand next year to be at the level of 104.6 barrels (previous forecast – 104.55 barrels).

It is noted that the global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons in 2023 averaged 102.14 million barrels.

It should be recalled that in 2022, the global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons was an average of 99.15 million barrels. In 2021, this indicator was 97.56 million barrels, in 2020 - 91.81 million barrels, and in 2019, this indicator was at the level of $101.23.
