36.5% of the electricity generated in the country yesterday accounted for renewable energy sources, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.
A total of 64.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated on April 20, of which 23.5 million kilowatt-hours were produced from renewable sources.
According to the information, 15.9 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated at hydropower plants, while 7.6 million kilowatt-hours were produced at solar and wind power plants.
“Wind and solar energy together accounted for 12% of total electricity generation,” the statement said.
