Azerbaijan sent 1.6 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey and Europe in January

In January of this year, 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted from the Shah Deniz gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, APA -Economics reports citing the Energy Ministry.

During the reporting period, 1.2 bln. cubic meters of gas were produced in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oil and gas block.

According to the report, in January, SOCAR produced $ 0.7 billion cubic meters of gas.

In general, in January 2022, the country extracted 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

During the reporting period, gas sales abroad amounted to about $ 2 billion. cubic meters. About $ 0.8 billion were exported to Turkey cubic meters, about 0.8 billion cubic meters to Europe, and 0.4 billion cubic meters to Georgia.

Notably, in January, Turkey received more than 0.5 billion cubic meters of gas via the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline.
