Bulgarian Energy Minister Rosen Hristov and his Azerbaijani counterpart Parviz Shahbazov held a phone conversation, APA-Economics reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Bulgaria.
During the phone conversation, the level of completion of the Greece-Bulgaria connecting pipeline (interconnector - ed.) and gas supply possibilities of Azerbaijan through the new connection were discussed.
"Khristov received a guarantee from his colleague on readiness for this to happen (to start gas transportation through the interconnector - ed.) from October 1. They also touched upon the issue of the technical opportunities of supplying additional volumes of Azerbaijani gas to Bulgaria," noted in the information.
