APA reports that the mission includes 3 members of the Moldovan and Russian parliaments.

Chairman of the Public Chamber, politician Sergei Markov said that the observers have functioned in accordance with Azerbaijan’s and international laws: “All necessary conditions have been created at the polling stations, web-cameras have been installed in about 1000 polling stations and the territorial constituencies have created conditions for people, who were not able to participate in the elections. Some irregularities were found during the observations. For example, the crowd of voters at some polling at several poling stations caused some problems. An exit-poll has been conducted inside an electoral district. But there were few such cases, which have not affected the results of the elections. In general, the elections have been conducted in accordance with Azerbaijan’s election laws and democratic norms.”

Markov also congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his reelection as President of Azerbaijan. He said that opposition has once again failed to demonstrate unity and has nominated a weak candidate instead of a strong leader.
