Armenian armed forces violated ceasefire most in 2008 within 14 years
The ceasefire was violated most in June, July, August, September and October, correspondingly 176, 150, 153, 185 and 153 times. Servicemen of Azerbaijani army were killed most in Karabakh front, Aghdam, Terter, Khojavend and Fuzuli regions.
Two servicemen were killed in mine blasts on the line of contact and the military units located near the front line. Ceasefire was violated most in Aghdam (228 times), Terter (211), Gazakh (175), Khojavend (141), Goranboy (140), Fuzuli (134) and Tovuz (124). The enemy forces also fired on the positions of Azerbaijani Armed Forces and settlements in Gedebey, Jabrayil and Dashkesen regions.
According to the results of monitoring, in September-October 2008 the enemy forces intensively violated ceasefire mostly in north front – on Armenian-Azerbaijani borders in Gazakh and Tovuz regions. Nine villages of Gazakh Region are under the Armenian occupation currently. Armenian armed forces were firing on the positions of Azerbaijani Army from these occupied villages, as well as from Ijevan, Berd and Tavush regions of Armenia.
Armenian forces activated fire in Goranboy, Tartar and Agdam regions of Azerbaijan in June, July and August. The south front in the direction of Fuzuli and Khojavend regions was under the fire particularly in October and November.
The results of monitoring show that Armenian armed forces were intensively firing in the first decade of March. 36-hour intensive battles took place on March 3-4 in the direction of Goranboy and Tartar regions. Mortar launchers and heavy armors were used in the battles.
Kokha Nabi, Agdam and Alibayli villages of Tovuz Region, Mazam, Gizil Hajili and Bala Jafarli villages of Gazakh Region, Ashagi abdurrahmanli, Garakhanbeyli, Alkhanli villages of Fuzuli Region, Yusifjanli Village of Aghdam Region, Gapanli, Goyarkh, Borsulnlu villages of Tartar Region, and Tapgaragoyunlu Village of Gornaboy region of Azerbaijan were intensively fired by the Armenians.
