“New Azerbaijan†Initiative Group submits signatures to CEC

Baku. Elnur Mammadli–APA. On Wednesday, “New Azerbaijan†Initiative Group submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC) the voters’ signatures for establishing the Campaign Group for March 18 Referendum on constitutional changes and amendments. Press service of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) told APA nearly 1000 activists were involved in signature campaign in all electoral districts of the country covering all regional and city organizations of the party. The “New Azerbaijan†Initiative Group submitted totally 47 thousand signatures to CEC. According to the Electoral Code, it needs in 40 thousand signatures to establish the Campaign Group.
