Votersâ€™ lists to be specified in Azerbaijan by February 5

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Central Election Commission (CEC) will publish draft Referendum Act on â€œAnnexes and amendments to the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republicâ€, APA reports. CEC chairman said at todayâ€™s meeting that the draft covered annexes and amendments to 29 articles of the Constitution. The draft referendum act will be distributed among the lower election commissions. Mazahir Panahov said CEC was also preparing posters in connection with the referendum.
The posters will be distributed among the lower elections commission and pasted in appropriate places.

According to Mazahir Panahov, CEC specifies votersâ€™ lists from early January till late May every year.
â€œBut due to the referendum we should finish this process earlier this year. Lists are being prepared again. The process will finish by February 5. In accordance with the legislation, votersâ€™ lists will be hung in the polling stations 35 days before the voting and posted on the official website of CEC,â€ he said.

Mazahir Panahov said CEC would raise the votersâ€™ awareness with the help of mass media.
