Washington. N. Kazimova-APA. The representatives of the Azerbaijani community in Washington held a protest outside Armenia’s embassy in the US. One of the organizers, co-founder and managing director of the U.S. Azeris Network (USAN) Adil Bagirov told APA’s Washington correspondent that such protests have been held for more than 10 years.

“They aim to draw the attention of the American public to Europe’s biggest crime against humanity committed in Khojaly in 1992 by the Armenian government and armed forces, as well as incumbent president and defense minister. Azerbaijanis from Iran, representatives of Uzbek and Turkish Diaspora have also joined this year’s protest,” he said.

Co-founder of USAN and member of the Board of Directors Bedir Mammadli dealt with the organization of the protest.

The participants also protested outside the Department of State against the squeezing of the Azerbaijani language. The protest was dedicated to the International Mother Language Day.
