We had dinner together. Now Saakashvili told journalists in Tbilisi that Gardabani-born Sadigov promised autonomy to the Azerbaijanis in Georgia," honorary president of Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis in Russia “AzerRos” and president of Strategic Development Modelling Center Soyun Sadigov told APA’s Moscow correspondent.
He said Mikheil Saakashvili’s words about him and Vahid Alakbarov are not true: "Both me and Vahid Alakbarov have nothing to do with Azerbaijan. We are Russian citizens. We work in Russia. Saakashvili knows me well. His claim is a big blow to Georgia's image.”
Sadigov said reports on the establishment of Borchali Party are also groundless: “I am establishing Russian National United Party. Date of the Party’s constituent congress is already known. Constituent congress of the party will be held on April 13. This Party has nothing to do with Azerbaijan or Georgia. I have no idea to establish Borchali Party in Georgia. However, who wants to do it is right. Why shouldn't the Azerbaijanis have a Party there? Is it bad? Georgia is a homeland of the Azerbaijanis as well. The Azerbaijanis have the same rights with the Georgians. The establishment of such a party should serve the protection of the Azerbaijanis’ rights. Thus, I welcome such initiative. Nevertheless, I don’t have such idea."
