Azerbaijani scientist to head Black Sea and Caspian Research Institute in Turkey

Dean of the subject literature school of the university, Azerbaijani professor Aygun Attar heads the preparation work for establishing the research center. Professor Attar is also heading the organizing committee of the International Black Sea Symposium, which organized three international conferences in the past two years. Scientists from the Black Sea countries, as well as from Azerbaijan and the United States attended the conferences. The organizing committee of the international symposium has close relations with Harvard University, US, organizing joint meetings together with its Black Sea Security Program. Harvard University invited Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to the meeting, which will be held in September.

Professor Attar guided the scientific work entitled â€œKhojaly genocide: causes, results, infrastructure of ideaâ€ defended by Derya Ozkaraman at the Strategic Research Center connected with the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces.

The Azerbaijani professor was third in the elections of Giresun University rectorate a few months ago and her name was presented to the High Education Institution together with other two candidates for the rectorate.
