Baku – APA. Uzeyir Hajibeyli Memorial in Novi Sad city of Serbia was visited on the occasion of the 126th anniversary of great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli. Azerbaijani embassy in Serbia told APA that the representatives of the embassy, members of Azerbaijani Culture Center in Belgrade, Serbia-Azerbaijan chamber of commerce and economy, the Azerbaijanis studying and living in the country attended the event.
The participants commemorated Uzeyir Hajibeyli, laid flowers on the bust, spoke about his life and creative activity. Representatives of Novi Sad mayor’s office also attended the event.
Uzeyir Hajibeyli Memorial was built in the park on the Danube River on the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and with the financial support of the Azerbaijani government.
