France’s culture minister: â€œAzerbaijan made an important contribution to the development of international cooperation and achieved great successes in the development of education and cultureâ€

The Minister said that ancient art of mugham, Azerbaijani literature, works of theatre directors and filmmakers are of great interest in France.

MP, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event as well. Franceâ€™ culture minister welcomed Heydar Aliyev Foundationâ€™s charity activities, as well as its support to restoration projects in France: in the Palace of Versailles and in the Strasbourg Cathedral.

Delivering speech t the event President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva noted that there was great potential of cultural exchanges between the two countries. She informed the guests about development of tourism sphere in Azerbaijan and invited them to visit Azerbaijan.

The event ended with the concert of the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra conducted by Teymur Geychaev held in Gavo Concert Hall. Orchestra performed compositions of Kara Karaev, Fikret Amirov, and other prominent composers of Azerbaijan.
