This can somehow unite the Armenians, because they dispersed and it is important to establish a special studio so that they return to their roots,â€ well-known French actor Gerard Depardieu said in Azerbaijan, APA reports. The actor said that the purpose of his visits to Russia and Kazakhstan was to realize projects on cinematography: â€œWe shot a film in Kazakhstan so that they return to their roots. I met with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in Russia. I said it is important to work on and present Dostoyevskyâ€™s works. Internet has outran the television all over the world, everybody prefers Internet. One should work on interesting projects in order to attract peopleâ€™s attention to televisionâ€.

The actor said that he was invited to Azerbaijan 15 years ago, but could not visit the country because of much work: â€œIn reality I should have come to Azerbaijan 15 years ago at Heydar Aliyevâ€™s invitation. He enjoyed my role in one film and invited me then. I regret that I couldnâ€™t visit Azerbaijan because of heavy work schedule. I signed my poster and sent it to Heydar Aliyev. I am glad that now I have a chance to come here. I heard that film studios are being supplied with special devices and decided to come to Azerbaijan. I decided to come now, meet incumbent president and discuss the projectsâ€.

Depardieu said that he had not much information about Azerbaijan: â€œI donâ€™t know Azerbaijan very well. Simply I am informed from my readings. If Azerbaijan attracted great person like Alexandre Dumas, it means that the country have rich culture.â€
