Baku to host international conference â€œOil and culture as the peopleâ€™s wealthâ€

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova â€“ APA. On November 23-24, an international conference entitled â€œOil and culture as the peopleâ€™s wealthâ€ will take place in Baku. Representatives of the Russiaâ€™s leading oil companies and relevant scientific organizations, as well as members of the Russian State Duma are expected to attend the conference, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan told APA. Azerbaijan will be represented at the conference by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law, the Institute of Architecture and Art of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, as well as by the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art. The participants of the conference are expected to adopt declaration, which will describe actuality of the culture policy today and initiative of business circles to support culture and creativity and to attach much attention to these fields. The declaration will be published by the leading print media of Azerbaijan and Russia. The conference will be opened on November 23 at the Museum Center, Baku.

The international conference â€œOil and culture as the peopleâ€™s wealthâ€ will be held within the Program signed between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation for cultural cooperation in 2009-2010.
