Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. Famous Israeli crooner Udi Abari performs a concert at the Theater of Young Viewers in Baku on Tuesday. The concert is organized by the Israeli culture center at the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

First secretary of the Israeli Embassy Shlomo Ben Tsvi told journalists before the concert that main idea of the concert was to present modern Israeli popular music to the Azerbaijani audience. “We are happy that we got such opportunity. Azerbaijani singers Khayyam Nisanov and Mariam Aranovich (Shabanova) will perform together with Udi Abari at the concert. This will be unique symbol of friendship between the Azerbaijani and Israeli culture and art. I believe that Azerbaijani audience will like this concert”.

Udi Abari told journalists that this is his second visit to Baku. He visited the Azerbaijani capital for the first time two years ago. “I liked this city and I was surprised when I found the city more beautiful at my second arrival. I am very happy that I was honored to visit this city once again”, said the singer.
He said he would perform his repertoire in Hebrew that “young Baku residents could feel the “taste” of Israel and understand it”.
Udi Abari began his professional career while he was serving in the Israeli defense army where he was a soloist. Abari continued his career of professional singer after the military service. His program contains both solo- and group performances. In 2005, Udi Abari became a finalist at the popular contest “New Wave” in Jurmala, Latvia.
