Iran and Oman are continuing negotiations on arrangements for safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Tuesday, APA's bureau in Tehran reports.
"These negotiations, as talks between the two countries bordering the Strait of Hormuz, are being pursued with a focus on determining safe inbound and outbound routes for vessels — routes that would safeguard sovereign rights while also taking into account the national security considerations of Iran and Oman," Baghaei told state broadcaster IRIB.
