United States President Donald Trump is making plans to meet with Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez as early as next week, APA reports citing Axios.
Trump, who is already set to meet Gulf leaders at the UN General Assembly in New York next week about the war in Iran, is also planning a sit-down with Rodriguez as early as Tuesday, the report said. "Iran is tough, but Venezuela is without a doubt the president's top success and Delcy is a key to that," an unnamed Trump adviser said.
"Unless something goes really wrong, the president wants to make time," he added. Meanwhile, a senior administration official noted that, "Nothing is finalized. This is up to the president."
