Baku. Ulkar Gasımova – APA. Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Ebulfaz Garayev met with Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization Taleb Rifai.
Tourism department of the ministry told APA that the meeting discussed holding of session on tourism sphere by the WTO within framework of II World Intercultural Dialogue Forum to be held in 29 May-June 1 in Baku and invitation of tourism ministers of WTO-member states, rendering Organization’s technical support to application of e-visa system in Azerbaijan. The meeting also focused on several projects realized within the cooperation between two organizations.
It was noted that Ministry of Culture and Tourism has developed new draft law on Tourism. In order to attend the discussion of this document, expert of WTO will be on a visit to Baku on February 3-12.
Moreover, the meeting exchanged views on participation of E.Garayev in the meeting of tourism ministers of Silk Way countries, which will take place during ITB Berlin International tourism exhibition.
