In January–September of this year, 2 billion cubic meters of associated gas were delivered from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) oil and gas fields to the Azerbaijani state, mainly to SOCAR, through the Sangachal terminal and the Oil Rocks facility, which is 4.8% less year-on-year, stated in bp's report on its operations in Azerbaijan for the first nine months of 2026, APA-Economics reports.
According to the document, ACG delivered an average of 9 million cubic meters of gas per day to SOCAR during the reporting period.
"The remainder of the associated gas produced was re-injected for reservoir pressure maintenance," the report noted.
It should be noted that part of the associated gas produced at ACG is supplied to SOCAR free of charge.
As a reminder, the participating interests in ACG are as follows: bp – 30.37% (operator), AzACG (SOCAR) – 35.3%, MOL – 9.57%, INPEX – 9.31%, ExxonMobil – 6.79%, TPAO – 5.73%, and ONGC Videsh Ltd. (OVL) – 2.92%.
