In 2027, revenues from customs duties through the State Customs Committee are projected at AZN 1 billion 867 million, which is AZN 49 million, or 2.7%, more than the 2026 forecast and AZN 96.2 million, or 5.4%, more than the actual figure for 2025, APA reports.

This is reflected in the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027,” which was submitted for discussion at the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis.

The projected increase in import volumes, based on the Republic of Azerbaijan's economic and social development concept and forecast indicators for the next budget year and the following three years, has played a significant role in the growth of customs duty revenues. Thus, the volume of imports for 2027 has been set at $19 billion, which is $0.3 billion, or 1.8%, more than the current year's forecast and $0.9 billion, or 5.0%, more than the actual figure for 2025.

In addition, road tax revenues are projected at AZN 61 million, which is AZN 1 million, or 1.7%, more than the 2026 forecast and AZN 17 million, or 38.6%, more than the actual figure for 2025.

The sharp increase compared to the actual figure for 2025 is related to the increase in road tax rates on motor gasoline and diesel fuel.
