US President Donald Trump has said that he does not view the Republican Party's defeat in the congressional midterm elections as a vote of no confidence in his presidency, APA reports.
In a live telephone interview with Fox News, Trump emphasized that he did not consider the election results a setback for himself.
"But I don't see this as a setback for myself. We have had the most successful two years in presidential history in terms of the economy and everything we have accomplished," Trump claimed.
Asked what his final message to the American people was, the US President congratulated the rival Democratic Party.
