Baku. Victoria Dementyeva–APA. The Israeli Embassy in Baku held a screening of the award-winning Israeli film The Band’s Visit at Azerbaijan University of Languages Wednesday. Approximately two hundred people attended the screening, including faculty and students from Azerbaijan University of Languages, Baku State University, Western University, Khazar University, Azerbaijan Tourism Institute, Diplomatic Academy and Azerbaijan State Culture and Art University. Members of the Jewish community in Azerbaijan also attended the screening, APA reports.
The Band’s Visit won Israel’s prize for “Best film†in 2007 and won the jury award at the Cannes Festival.
