"We have gathered in Baku to preserve our national existence and identity," Iraqi MP Arshad Salihi said during his speech at the 2nd Turkmen Heritage: Solidarity of Civil Society Organizations Forum held in Baku, APA reports.
"The liberation of Karabakh was a project and an ideal that the entire Turkic world desired and supported. From here, I would like to appeal to President Ilham Aliyev to establish a separate body or representation with observer status within the Organization of Turkic States to represent Turks living abroad. Today, the main factors bringing peoples closer together are our common heritage, folklore, history, and culture. These values further strengthen the solidarity of the Turkic world," he noted.
