Only fisheries facilities that comply with the requirements of regulatory legal acts in the fields of fisheries, food safety, and livestock breeding may be placed into commercial circulation, APA reports.
This is reflected in the new draft Law "On Fisheries," which was discussed today at a meeting of the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
Under the draft, fish products shall be packaged and labeled in accordance with the Law "On Food Safety." When fish products are placed into commercial circulation, they shall be accompanied by veterinary documents in accordance with the Law "On Veterinary."
To place fish and other aquatic biological resources obtained through fishing or aquaculture activities into commercial circulation, fisheries entities will be required to enter information on their origin, sex, species, batch quantity, batch weight, and average size into the information system of the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority.
