Azerbaijan sends next resettlement convoy to Khankendi, Khojavand, Shusha, Jabrayil and Aghdara

In accordance with the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return to the territories liberated from occupation continues, APA reports.

On June 25, the next resettlement convoy departed for the Karkijahan settlement of Khankendi city, the Hadrut settlement of Khojavand district, the Boyuk Galadarasi village of Shusha district, the Shukurbayli village of Jabrayil district, the Ballija, Badara and Khanabad villages of Khojaly district, and the Childiran, Vangli and Hasanriz villages of Aghdara district.

Those relocating are families who had been temporarily settled in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums and administrative buildings.

At this stage, a total of 58 families (237 people) have been resettled to the above-mentioned areas.

A total of 30 families (129 people) have been resettled to three settlements of Aghdara district. Of them, 4 families (23 people) were relocated to Vangli village (total resettled: 145 families (576 people)), 13 families (53 people) to Childiran village (total resettled: 41 families (165 people)), and 13 families (53 people) to Hasanriz village (total resettled: 286 families (1,133 people)).

A total of 8 families (34 people) have been resettled to the Karkijahan settlement of Khankendi city (total resettled: 43 families (174 people)).

A total of 7 families (28 people) have been resettled to the Shukurbayli village of Jabrayil district (total resettled: 468 families (2,031 people)).

A total of 6 families (17 people) have been resettled to three settlements of Khojaly district. Of them, 2 families (7 people) were relocated to Ballija village (total resettled: 246 families (1,088 people)), 2 families to Khanabad village (total resettled: 101 families (439 people)), and 2 families (5 people) to Badara village (total resettled: 103 families (387 people)).

A total of 4 families (15 people) have been resettled to the Hadrut settlement of Khojavand district (total resettled: 82 families (347 people)).

A total of 3 families (14 people) have been resettled to the Boyuk Galadarasi village of Shusha district (total resettled: 17 families (78 people)).

The families will be welcomed at their places of resettlement by employees of the Special Representations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the necessary measures will be taken to accommodate them in their residential areas.

Thus, including the resettlement carried out on June 25, 2026, a total of 9,237 families (37,248 people) will have been resettled in 44 settlements across 1 city and 10 districts.

The residents returning to their native homeland expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive care provided by the state.

They also expressed their gratitude to the valiant Azerbaijani Army and the heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the country's territories from occupation, and prayed for God's mercy upon the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on this path.
