Fuel sales have been restricted in Russia's Republic of Dagestan, the republic's Ministry of Energy said in a statement, APA's Russia bureau reports.
The ministry said that restrictions on fuel sales had been introduced in Dagestan due to rising demand.
"Temporary restrictions on fuel sales (20 liters of gasoline and 50 liters of diesel fuel per customer) have been introduced solely to ensure the fair distribution of available supplies among all consumers," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also noted that the measure would help prevent an artificial fuel shortage.
