Azerbaijan is supporting school construction in Syria, and a decision has been made to build 10 schools, Syrian Parliament member Tarik Sulo Cevizci said during his speech at the 2nd "Turkmen Heritage: Solidarity of Civil Societies" Forum held in Baku, APA reports.
"At the same time, opportunities will be created for Syrian students to study in Azerbaijan under the 'Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant' program. We hope that Turkmen students will also be able to participate in this program. The development of political, economic, scientific, and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Syria is one of the main directions of future cooperation," he noted.
Tarik Sulo Cevizci emphasized that important steps are being taken to further expand Syria's relations with the Turkic states in the future.
