Under a decision by the Bureau of the FIFA Council, the first FIFA U-15 Boys’ World Cup and the 2026 Festival will be held in Azerbaijan, Apasport.az reports, citing the press service of AFFA.
According to the decision, the tournament will be held on October 22-31, 2026. U-15 national teams of FIFA member associations will be eligible to participate in the competition.
In making this decision, FIFA took into account Azerbaijan’s modern sports infrastructure, sports facilities that meet international standards, and the country’s successful experience in organizing major international competitions. Hosting the tournament is another confirmation of Azerbaijan’s growing reputation in world football and its ability to host major international sporting events.
Note that FIFA decided to establish the U-15 World Cup in December 2025.
Recall that at the meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee held on October 2, 2025, it was announced that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan would jointly host the final stage of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2027.
