Prime Minister Ali Asadov met today with Denis Afanasyev, Vice Governor and Chairman of the Government of Russia's Astrakhan Region, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the high level of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the regions of the Russian Federation, including the Astrakhan Region.
The positive dynamics in the development of economic, trade, and investment ties between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan Region were particularly emphasized, while the expansion of cooperation in transport, logistics, cultural and humanitarian affairs, and education was highly appreciated.
It was also noted that the Astrakhan Region is implementing a project to build a preschool education institution in Azerbaijan's liberated Gubadli district.
The meeting also touched upon issues related to further strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan Region in areas of mutual interest.
