The term "personal identification tag of military personnel" has been added to the legislation, APA reports.
This is reflected in the amendment to the Law "On Military Duty and Military Service" approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
Under the law, a personal identification tag is a marker used to identify military personnel who have been killed, deceased, or sustained injuries (wounds, trauma, or concussion), containing their personal identification number and blood group. Military personnel are provided with personal identification tags by the state bodies (institutions included in the structure of the state body) where they serve. The procedure for providing military personnel with personal identification tags, as well as the design, specifications, and record-keeping of the tags, are determined by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority.
