Azerbaijan’s Deputy Health Minister: “There are no illegal drugstores in Baku”

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva–APA. “Azerbaijan is not importing baby nutrition from China and we do not need to discuss this issue”, said Deputy Health Minister Elsever Agayev, APA reports. He said the Sanitary-Quarantine Inspection of the Health Ministry was seriously controlling the baby nutrition import in the country. “Control over the medicines is also one of the Ministry’s priorities. Problems in this field are eliminated. We can say proudly that illegal drugstores were almost eliminated in the country. There are no any illegal drugstores in Baku”.
Agayev said serious rules were set up in Azerbaijan to control the medicine import. Non-registered medicines have been banned in the country since March 1 according to the existing legislation. “I can say confidently that no any non-registered medicine is imported in the country now and its import was banned”. The Deputy Minister said the Health Ministry purchased 20 million AZN equipments for the public health centers this year.
