Baku to host fourth session of Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research next month

Baku. Tamara Grigoryeva–APA. The Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research will convene its fourth session in Baku, capital-city of Azerbaijan, over the period of 6-8 October, APA reports quoting ISESCO.
The fourth session will examine a number of documents prepared by ISESCO such as the Documents on “Ranking of the Universities of the Islamic Worldâ€, “Modes and Functions of the Islamic Citation Centre†and “the creation of Network of Women Scientists in OIC Member Statesâ€. On the sidelines of the Conference, a round-table will be organized on the theme of “Consolidation of Youth Role in Promotion of Science and Technologyâ€.
Besides, the Conference will discuss the revised version of the “Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation in Islamic Countriesâ€. Furthermore, Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, Director General of ISESCO, will present a report on the implementation of scientific programmes between the Third and Fourth Sessions of the Islamic Conference. In addition, the Heads of Delegation representing the 57 OIC MEMBER States will present reports on the national programmes in the field of higher education and scientific research. By the same token, the Conference will announce the winners of ISESCO Prizes in Science and Technology.
