Elaboration of State Program on Scientific Development finishes

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayevaâ€“APA. The State Commission on Scientific Reforms in Azerbaijan is finishing work on the â€œState Program on Scientific Development in 2009-2015â€ draft, said Minister of Education Misir Mardanov, APA reports. The minister thinks that this program will cause fundamental changes in the development of scientific fields in the country. Mardanov said draft of the â€œState Program on the high education reforms in Azerbaijan Republic in 2009-2013â€ and list of new specialties within the documents adopted by UNESCO and other international organizations had been submitted to the Government. The Minister said the â€œState Program on High Education Reforms in Azerbaijan Republic in 2009-2013â€ covered normative-legal basis to increase quality of high education system, renewal of context and education technologies, modernization of high school structures and management, improvement of personnel training in accordance with the demands of labor market and etc. Mardanov noted that 6500 foreign students from 50 countries were studying in Azerbaijan and 4000 Azerbaijani students were studying abroad now. The Government pays for education of 1000 Azerbaijani students studying abroad.
