Presentation ceremony of book â€œPresident Ilham Aliyev and development of education in Azerbaijan â€“ 2003-2008â€

Presentation ceremony of the book â€œPresident Ilham Aliyev and development of education in Azerbaijan â€“ 2003-2008â€ has been organized by Education Ministry today, APA reports. Director of Humanitarian Policy Department of the Presidentâ€™s Office Fatma Abdullazade said the book had been prepared basing on official documents. She said three higher schools had been opened in Azerbaijan within past five years â€“ Diplomatic Academy of Foreign Ministry, Academy of State Border service and Baku branch of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov.

Executive Secretary of YAP Ali Ahmadov said that the aim of preparing the book was to inform future generation about the activity of leaders. Ali Ahmadov also assessed the book as a chronicle of education system in the past five years.

Education Minister Misir Mardanov noted that the funds allocated from the state budget for the development of education system in the past five years had increased several times, 1410 new schools had been built, salaries of education employees increased several times.
