Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev–APA. The Parliament’s Standing Commission on Social Policy held an event dedicated to the duties arisen from the presidential decree on approval of State Program for transferring children from the children’s houses to the families (deinstitutionalization) and alternative care (2006-2015). Improvement of normative legal framework for above-mentioned area, lawmaking initiatives, transferring children from the children’s houses to the families, their rights and social protection were discussed at the event, APA reports.
The participants exchanged views on prevention of children’s entering the orphan homes, establishing family-based social centers and alternative services for the children on the basis of children’s houses and boarding schools, as well as integration of adopted sick children into the general education school and other issues.
