Symposium “Great Turks from Ahmet Yesevi until now and international cultural-art activities” takes place in Romania

Constanza–APA. Turkey’s Popular Cultural Research Center and Romanian Democratic Turkic Union organized symposium entitled “Great Turks from Ahmet Yesevi until now and international cultural-art activities” on September 3-8 in Constanza, Romania. Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania told APA, more than 40 scientists, professors and cultural figures from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova, Southern Cyprus and Romania attended the symposium. At first the participants visited Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s and Heydar Aliyev’s busts in Bucharest and laid flowers in front of the monuments. Then they met with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Romania Eldar Hasanov.
The audience interestedly listened speeches of Ambassador Eldar Hasanov, Turkey’s Consul General in Constanza Haluk Agca, Chairman of the Turkey’s Popular Cultural Research Center Professor Irfan Nasraddinoglu, Director General of Heydar Aliyev’s Heritage Research Center Fuad Babayev and Professor Vugar Sultanzadeh of Akdeniz University at the symposium’s opening ceremony. The speakers talked about lives and activities of outstanding persons playing special and decisive role in the history of great Turkic world and focused on the facts found as a result of scientific researches. The speeches about the rich lives and activities of the outstanding political figures of the 20th century Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and Heydar Aliyev kindled great interest among the Romanian scientists.
