Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. “Some orientalists deny that there are many Turks in Iran,†teacher of Germany’s Freiburg University, scientist on Azerbaijan studies Walker Adam told APA. He said that there was a need to extend scientific activity in the world to prove the existence of Azerbaijani Turks.
“When speaking of Turks German orientalists mean citizens of Turkey. They do not know that real Turks live in Iran and Caucasus,†he said.
Walker Adam said that Joseph Stalin artificially called the Turks living in the Caucasus Azerbaijanis.
“One should have materials in order to oppose these views. One can reach the target peacefully. We need joint activity for this. German people want to know Azerbaijan, but Azerbaijan should also be interested in this,†he said.
