Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“APA. A round table â€œ21st century education at a glance of creative peoplesâ€ has taken place on Monday in Baku. Chief of the Humanitarian Affairs Department of the Presidentâ€™s Office Fatma Abdullazadeh said that such event was held for the first time, APA reports. He said number of students coming to Azerbaijan for education was increased because of development of Azerbaijani education. Minister of Education Misir Mardanov noted that past five years were memorable for Azerbaijani education. â€œEducation budget increased for five times in compare with 2003 and reached 1.1 billion AZN and investments increased from 5.8 million to 220 million AZN. 11 new kindergartens were built in Baku for the first time over the past twenty years. 21 kindergartens will be reconstructed and furnished with modern equipments by the end of the yearâ€. Mardanov added that 200 schools would join rapid Internet this year within the State Program for electronic communication development of education system in 2008-2012. DATA Center, electronic education resources and united education portal will be created this year.
