First ladies to join the Youth Employment Summit in Azerbaijan

Baku. Ä°lhama Ä°sabalayeva - APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Youth and Sports will host the 4th Youth Employment Summit in Baku on September 23-28, bringing together first ladies from Egypt, Turkey, Georgia, Jordan and other countries.
Ms. Poonam Ahluwalia, President of YES Inc., told a media briefing in Baku that the global summits were previously held in Egypt in 2002, in Mexico in 2004 and in Kenya in 2006.
The next one in 2008 is in Azerbaijan. At these Summits â€“ the youth delegates meet with experts, donors, practitioners, and other stakeholders to develop program and polices that will help build in-country capacity to provide the education, training and other services needed by young people to find productive work.
She said that the YES-Azerbaijan Network and the Ministry of Youth and Sports have enormous experience in employment and will help region countries with this problem.
She expressed hope that Azerbaijani youth will be ahead in the region in terms of their leadership abilities.
According to her, the summit will provide an opportunity to learn youth employment creation from the world practice.
