Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. “The law on freedom of faith opens a way for future activity of the persons educated abroad under auspices of the Caucasian Muslims Office and Islamic University. It needs to comment on the amendments correctly. It doesn’t mention the persons who are going to improve their religious education”, said Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-al-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh at a press conference, APA reports. He said the society didn’t accept univocally the amendment restricted the religious figures studied abroad to lead the religious ceremonies. He said there was some radicalism in the society, which created difficulties for the government. “I know a family which sent their son to get education abroad at age of 12 and they return home at 20, how can they be citizens of their country? If the government changes the law, it protects its citizens. We have not to forget the incident in Abu Bakr mosque. As I know nearly 5 000 Azerbaijani students are getting religious education abroad. The bans will not mention only the students going abroad under the auspices of the Caucasian Islamic Office and Islamic University. The amendments made by the government to the law on freedom of faith are not against the religion and belief”.
