Pashazadeh told journalists that first Friday namaz (pray) took place in the mosque on July 10. â€œIt is new. There were some problems between Sunni and Shia so far and there was such idea that Sunnis are doing Friday namaz, but Shias are not, which created split between the sects. Today we founded such tradition that every Muslim can come and pray here. The mosque was reconstructed with the material and moral support of the head of the state. The mosque is open for all people. Everyone can pray here. There will be no problem. I believe that Friday namaz contributes to the unity of the people and lifts confrontation between themâ€.

Sheikh-al-Islam said the mosque was opened on the day of birth of holy persons in the Islamic world.
