OTS: Establishing joint Turkic TV channel is in focus

Having joint Turkic TV is one of our significant cooperation in the media field, said Omar Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, APA reports.

“Certain measures were taken in past in this direction and this subject is currently in focus. Relevant institutions hold certain discussions. In the end, establishing an international news TV channel is one of the main goals. But clearly, it is not an easy process but quite time consuming. As mentioned, this topic is in focus too” he said.

Kocaman stressed the importance of the meeting in Shusha: “Through these kinds of meetings we can show our righteous causes and brotherly interests to the world. In this regard this meeting is essential. Yesterday we held important meetings in Baku and in result, our mutual corporation areas were determined. And today we have inked such important document in Shusha. There are enough examples in the world similar to this. For instance, there are joint cooperations in EU with this kind of interests. So, achieving such system in Turkic world is vital too. Azerbaijan faced great difficulties in delivering its voice over the righteous fight to the world during its 30 years-occupation period. The very witnesses of this process are you. There were cases of exposure to dark propagandas during the occupation period. Similar cases occurred in Turkiye, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. In this sense, this meeting has a great importance, especially being held in the cultural capital of the Turkic world, in the vital point of Turkic history — in Shusha city.”
